Published 3 years, 2 months ago
Description
The Athletic's Chris Waugh and Jacob Whitehead join Taylor Payne to review Newcastle United's magnificent 5-1 victory over Aston Villa on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season.
Sandro Tonali wasted no time getting on the scoresheet as he took to English football like an anatra to acqua, and Eddie Howe's midfield looks to have an added dimension with the Italian joining Bruno and Joelinton in the engine room.
Alexander Isak was another of several standout performances with two for him, and Harvey Barnes got an assist and a goal in just 22 minutes on his competitive debut.
