The Lasses' derby double: record attendance at St James's Park
Published 1 year, 6 months ago
Description
Newcastle United's women completed a derby double, beating Sunderland in the home fixture at St James's Park with a crowd of almost forty thousand watching on.
Substitute Shania Hayles was the scorer, her tenth in the league this season, as The Lasses (TM) retained local bragging rights with a one-nil win which also keeps their slim title and promotion hopes alive.
Meanwhile, in order to come to terms with the end of Newcastle's trophy drought, Chris has formed a 'winners' support group'.
