The Flagship Game Reaction: What to make of Texas' loss at Arkansas

Published 4 years, 3 months ago
Description

The Longhorns got a taste of SEC football Saturday night in Fayetteville, Ark. when No. 15 ranked Texas fell to Arkansas, 40-21. The Razorbacks controlled the entire game against the Longhorns, and had an answer for any potential of opportunity for Texas to build momentum in the ball game.

On this week's Texas vs. Arkansas game reaction edition of The Flagship Podcast, Horns247 columnist Chip Brown and managing editor Taylor Estes give their immediate post-game thoughts on the Longhorns' loss to the Razorbacks. The Flagship weighs in on what to make of the quarterback position after seeing redshirt freshman Hudson Card struggle against the Arkansas defense, and discuss head coach Steve Sarkisian's post-game comments about the QB rotation after he pulled Card for Casey Thompson late in the third quarter.

The Flagship also addresses the glaring concerns across the offensive line and how the receiver group did no favors for Card in his first road game as the starting quarterback at Texas. Moving over to the defensive side of the ball, Chip and Taylor discuss the defense's performance against the Razorbacks and how the lack of production from the Longhorns' offense was crippling to the defense as the game wore on.

Catch all of that and much more on this week's Texas vs. Arkansas game reaction edition of The Flagship Podcast.
