The Cincinnati Reds fell to the Minnesota Twins 12-5 on Thursday afternoon, wrapping up their series at Great American Ball Park. Starter Nick Martinez struggled early and was pulled in the third inning after allowing seven runs. The Reds' bullpen couldn't stop the bleeding, giving up five additional runs as the game got out of hand. Offensively, Cincinnati had some bright spots—TJ Friedl tallied three hits, Gavin Lux launched his third homer of the season, and Spencer Steer notched his second consecutive multi-hit game. Despite the loss, the Reds’ lineup continued to show encouraging signs at the plate.
