New York City mayoral candidate Brad Lander was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents earlier this week after allegedly interfering with an active immigration arrest. According to official reports, Lander attempted to block federal agents from detaining an undocumented immigrant during a scheduled enforcement action in Brooklyn.
