A few days back Twitter announced that it had purchased Revue, a newsletter platform for writers and publishers. Facebook too is reported to be working on something like that and both are expected to give competition to Substack and a few others already in this business. With more and more people opting for better quality content and spending on it via subscriptions - social media platforms seem to have noticed to strong shift and are trying to be a part of this game before it's too late for them.
