Allison Bumsted is a Teen Magazine Queen and a Beatles SuperFan! On the teen magazine side she’s the author of the book “TeenSet, Teen Fan Magazines, and Rock Journalism: Don’t Let The Name Fool You”. And on the Beatles side she’s written about fandom and the Beatles. She has a Masters Degree in the Beatles. And she even went to live in Liverpool, England for a time. Her work has been published in the Journal of Beatle Studies and elsewhere. And she’s a professor at Austin Community College.
My featured song is my reimagined version of The Beatles “I Wanna Be Your Man” by my band Project Grand Slam on our album East Side Sessions which I changed to “I Wanna Be Your Girl” because we had a female singer. Spotify link.
