En: "Nejc, I think a storm is coming," Mateja said worriedly.

Sl: Nejc se je smejal in dejal: "To bo zabavno!
En: Nejc laughed and said, "This will be fun!

Sl: Priložnost za avanturo!
En: A chance for adventure!"

Sl: " A Mateji ni bilo do avanture.
En: But Mateja wasn't in the mood for adventure.

Sl: Želela je nazaj, na varno obalo.
En: She wanted to return to the safe shore.

Sl: Dež je začel padati.
En: The rain started to fall.

Sl: Najprej nežno kapljanje, nato močan naliv.
En: First, a gentle drizzle, then a heavy downpour.

Sl: Valovi so postajali višji in čoln se je začel pozibavati.
En: The waves grew higher, and the boat began to sway.

Sl: Mateja je bila prestrašena.
En: Mateja was frightened.

Sl: "Morava se vrniti," je zavpila nad hrupom vetra.
En: "We have to get back," she shouted over the noise of the wind.

Sl: Nejc je resno prikimal, ko je opazil, da šala ni več smešna.
En: Nejc nodded seriously when he realized the joke was no longer funny.

Sl: Skupaj sta z vso močjo veslala proti obali.
En: Together, they paddled with all their strength toward the shore.

Sl: Nevihta se je krepila in Mateja ni videla ničesar več kot vode okoli sebe.
En: The storm was intensifying, and Mateja could see nothing but water around her.

Sl: Končno sta prispela do obale, mokra in utrujena.
En: Finally, they reached the shore, wet
