OK Slaycaters, picture this — a seasoned solo traveler, a beautiful hiking trail in Central Japan, and a chance to check another spiritual journey off a personal bucket list.  What could go wrong?

Well, if you’re a fan of our show you know we turn ‘going wrong’ into an art form.  Pattie Wu-Murad, an experienced traveler and avid hiker from Connecticut headed to Japan to hike the well-known Kumano Kodo Trail.  

To say things didn’t go according to plan would be a huge understatement. A simple hike became a multi-national venture as search and rescue teams from around the world would join the U.S. Embassy and the FBI in a massive effort to ‘Help Find Pattie.’
