A theology of glory ignores sin and believes suffering is a consequence of a lack of faith and an obstacle to be avoided or overcome.  A theology of suffering acknowledges sin and sees suffering as an inevitability that we must endure as we await the consummation of God’s kingdom and anticipate the fulfillment of future glory that is to be revealed when Christ returns in the fulness of time.
