More explosions tonight in Tehran and Iran fires retaliatory strikes on Israel as the conflict between the two countries escalates. This follows Israel’s unprecedented attack early Friday on Iranian nuclear and military targets, which killed some of the country’s most senior leaders. And a senior Iranian official tells CNN his country will target the regional bases of any country that defends Israel. Earlier today, U.S, and Israeli sources told CNN the U.S. military had helped to intercept Iranian missiles launched against Israel. And one Israeli source told CNN other countries in the region had also supported Israeli air defenses.
