The time is now 05:00 AM in New York, I'm Noa Levi and this is the latest Israel Today: Ongoing War Report.

At five in the morning, the situation across the Middle East remains tense and rapidly evolving. Reports indicate renewed Israeli military actions targeting Iranian-backed sites in several regions. Israeli aircraft carried out strikes on military facilities in the province of Khuzestan and other strategic locations in Iran, including the Hamedan and Lorestan regions, where Iranian defenses and command centers have been targeted. Satellite imagery suggests that the Iranian defense command in Soubashi has been destroyed, potentially impairing Iran’s air defense capabilities in the northwest.

In Iran, internal communications reveal frustration among regime officials over their aerial defenses' inability to intercept Israeli strikes. Moreover, Iran’s atomic agency reports limited damage to the Fordow nuclear site following Israeli attacks, although key equipment was reportedly removed beforehand. Iran’s military has announced the killing of two senior officers in recent Israeli raids, further escalating tensions.

The Israeli military continues its targeted operations, including strikes on missile launchers and military infrastructure in Iran, aiming to prevent missile attacks. According to sources, Israel has thwarted an Iranian plan to launch a barrage of around one thousand missiles, with reports indicating that approximately one hundred missiles have been launched by Iran in recent days, despite Israeli efforts.

On the diplomatic front, Iran has officially warned France, the United Kingdom, and the United States that any involvement in defending Israel from Iranian attacks will make those nations targets of Iranian retaliation, including potential strikes on regional military bases and shipping in the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Isaam Khaki emphasized that Tehran perceives no possibility for negotiations without US coordination, suggesting that recent Iranian statements reflect a hardening stance.

Lebanon has temporarily reopened its airspace at ten in the morning, only to close it again from ten-thirty tonight until six in the morning, amid ongoing regional hostilities. Hezbollah and other groups remain on high alert, with Lebanese military officials warning of increased risks.

In the broader region, Iran’s regime claims to have launched new attacks on the Imam Ali base in Lorestan, though Western analysts question the credibility of Iranian claims, citing propaganda efforts and misinformation. Iranian officials also report limited damage to the Fordow nuclear site, claiming that critical equipment was evacuated prior to the strikes.

Notably, the United States appears to be preparing for possible escalation. US ambassador to Israel, Mike Akabi, has signaled that America is considering intervention, citing the presence of 700,000 Americans living in Israel as a significant stake. Additionally, Elon Musk has activated Starlink in Iran, potentially enabling Iranians to bypass regime restrictions and organize opposition, a move that could influence the internal dynamics of Iran’s leadership.

Internationally, the New York Times reports that Iran had plans to launch up to one thousand ballistic missiles at Israel to maximize damage, but Israeli interdiction has limited this to about one hundred missiles. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remains widely popular among Iranians, with reports suggesting that the Israeli government’s actions are viewed favorably among some segments inside Iran.

Amid these developments, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and the Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Aviv Koch
