कस्यचित् धनिकस्य अन्त्यकाले पुत्राणां साहाय्यम् अपेक्ष्य एकैकं पुत्रम् आहूय साहाय्यं याचते । त्रयः अपि पुत्राः भिन्नं भिन्नम् उत्तरं अयच्छन् । तृतीयस्य पुत्रस्य उत्तरं श्रुत्वा धनिकः शान्त्या दिवङ्गतः । ते एव त्रयः पुत्राः धनजनपुण्यरूपाः । प्रथमः पुत्रः धनकनकादिसम्पद्रूपः । द्वितीयः आप्तजनः । तृतीयस्तु परोपकारः । एषा कथा परोपकारस्य महत्त्वं सम्यक् प्रकारेण व्यक्तं करोति । मानवजीवनस्य मूल्यं परहिते अस्ति । धनं सम्बन्धः च क्षणमात्रं भवति ।

At the end of his life, a wealthy man sought help from his three sons, calling each one individually to ask for assistance. The three sons gave different responses. Upon hearing the answer of his third son, the wealthy man passed away peacefully. The three sons symbolize the three forms of wealth: The first son represents material wealth, such as money and gold. The second son signifies relationships and loved ones. The third son embodies altruism and service to others. This story beautifully conveys the importance of selfless service. It emphasizes that the true value of human life lies in benefiting others. Material wealth and relationships, though significant, are transient.
