The time is now 04:00 PM in New York, I'm Noa Levi and this is the latest Israel Today: Ongoing War Report.

At 4:00 PM, tensions in the region continue to escalate amid Israel’s multi-front military operations and diplomatic efforts. Israel is engaged in a broad and complex conflict with Iran and its proxies across seven key fronts: Iran itself, Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen. The military actions include ongoing airstrikes, ground operations, and targeted demolitions, particularly in Gaza and the northern and southern regions of the Gaza Strip, with reports of intensified activity in Khan Younis and Jabalya.

In Gaza, Israeli forces have conducted multiple airstrikes, including in the Shuja’iyya and Al-Tabha neighborhoods, aiming to dismantle militant infrastructure. The Israeli military has also launched a new operation in Jenin, targeting what it describes as terrorist strongholds, with reports of the destruction of recently rebuilt structures. These military actions are part of a larger campaign to weaken Hamas and other militant groups operating within Gaza.

Meanwhile, Israel is facing threats from multiple fronts. In Lebanon, Hezbollah remains on high alert, with reports indicating increased military preparedness and ongoing exchanges of fire along the border. In Syria, Israel has carried out several airstrikes targeting Iranian-backed militias and weapons depots, aiming to prevent the transfer of advanced weaponry to Hezbollah and other groups. In Iraq and Yemen, Iranian-backed militias continue to threaten regional stability, with Iran itself actively involved in supporting these proxy forces.

Internationally, efforts to broker a ceasefire or hostage negotiations are underway. Former US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran is involved in negotiations related to hostages held by Hamas, and that a major diplomatic effort is ongoing between Israel, Hamas, and Iran. Trump also mentioned a scheduled meeting with Iranian representatives on Thursday, noting that Iran is demanding concessions that the US is unwilling to accept, particularly regarding economic sanctions.

Domestically within Israel, security remains tight. There have been reports of isolated incidents, including a serious traffic accident in Beersheba and a violent altercation in Ashkelon, resulting in multiple injuries. Additionally, a demonstration in New York’s Central Park highlighted global concern, with families of hostages and supporters demanding their immediate release, especially following the Boulder attack in Colorado.

On the international front, Sweden’s government has stated it will not provide support to Greta Thunberg following her detention by Israeli authorities, while other global actors continue to scrutinize Israel's military operations and diplomatic stance. In the maritime domain, the Gaza flotilla vessel, the Maddalena, arrived at the port of Ashdod after being intercepted by Israeli naval forces. The vessel’s activists are expected to be transferred to detention centers for deportation.

Amid these developments, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has claimed that their recent intelligence disclosures will make Israeli military strikes more precise and effective, signaling a continued and intensifying regional confrontation.

As the situation remains fluid and tense, Israel’s security forces and diplomatic channels are working tirelessly to manage multiple crises at once—aiming to defend its citizens, mitigate regional threats, and seek pathways towards de-escalation when possible. The coming days are likely to see continued military activity and diplomatic negotiations, with the regional and international
