Sk: Nebo bolo bezoblačné, len horúce slnko bez milosti pražilo na zem.
En: The sky was cloudless, with only the scorching sun mercilessly beating down on the ground.

Sk: Na obzore sa trápili malé kŕdle vtákov.
En: On the horizon, small flocks of birds struggled.

Sk: Neďaleko, v troskách školy, sedeli traja preživší. Šimon, Ivana a Marek.
En: Nearby, within the ruins of a school, sat three survivors: Šimon, Ivana, and Marek.

Sk: Šimon bol bývalý učiteľ.
En: Šimon was a former teacher.
