The time is now 12:00 PM in New York, I'm Noa Levi and this is the latest Israel Today: Ongoing War Report.

Today in the ongoing conflict in Israel and the surrounding region, tensions remain high across multiple fronts. In Gaza, humanitarian efforts continue to face severe disruptions. The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation announced that aid distribution was temporarily halted due to threats issued by Hamas against staff. The organization emphasized that Hamas is attempting to regain control over a system it previously exploited, diverting aid and manipulating distribution to serve its own interests, thus leaving hundreds of thousands of Gazans hungry. Despite these threats, the foundation has vowed to persist in delivering aid securely and independently, actively working to resume operations without delay.

Meanwhile, aid distribution in Gaza, which had been previously paused due to overcrowding and safety concerns, saw some activity; however, confusion over the status of aid deliveries persists, with conflicting statements about whether distributions occurred or were postponed for safety reasons. The ongoing disruptions highlight the volatile environment and the challenge of providing humanitarian relief amid ongoing hostilities.

On the security front in the West Bank, Israeli forces, guided by intelligence from the Shin Bet, successfully thwarted an imminent terror attack. Over the past 24 hours, operations in the Jenin area led to the arrest of Muslim Mazarwa, a key figure in a terror network, along with two other suspects. During the operation, authorities seized a Glock handgun. In a separate strike, IDF soldiers and special forces targeted a terrorist believed to be planning an attack, shooting and arresting suspects attempting to flee. These operations follow a series of similar raids in recent months, during which weapons such as M16 rifles were confiscated, and multiple suspects were detained.

In northern Israel, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), along with the Shin Bet and border police, continue to dismantle terrorist cells. Recent operations led to the arrest of seven suspects in the Jenin area, including a senior operative. Weapons and equipment, including firearms and magazines, were seized, and plans for imminent attacks were disrupted. These targeted actions are part of ongoing efforts to prevent attacks and maintain security in the region.

Adding to regional tensions, Iran has dismissed recent claims by the International Atomic Energy Agency regarding undeclared nuclear activity, accusing Western powers, particularly Israel, of sabotage and political bias. Iran contends that suspicious traces at nuclear sites were planted and has called for the lifting of sanctions.

Internationally, there are reports of heightened intelligence activities. Three Iranian nationals appeared before a British court, accused of espionage targeting journalists associated with the London-based Iran International television channel. The suspects, alleged to be agents of Iran’s regime, are charged with attempting to assist Iranian intelligence through surveillance and reconnaissance aimed at potential violence in the UK. Iran has vehemently denied the allegations, summoning the British ambassador in Tehran to protest what it calls false claims. The Iranian government also hinted at retaliatory actions against media perceived as hostile.

In other developments, an Israeli woman has gone missing in Crete, with search efforts underway involving Greek and Israeli authorities. Meanwhile, an Israeli man was detained in Albania with undeclared cash of nearly €200,000, raising concerns over security and legal procedures.

In the broader regional arena, the military wing of H
