US-China Meeting Expected Within a Week, Says Navarro; Trump Says He Won’t Be Speaking With Musk Soon

White House adviser Peter Navarro said on Friday that a meeting on trade between Trump administration and Chinese officials is expected to happen within seven days.

President Donald Trump said he won’t be speaking with Elon Musk “for a while” in the aftermath of the feud between the two billionaires. “I’m not even thinking about Elon. He’s got a problem. The poor guy’s got a problem,” Trump told CNN.

U.S. employers added a solid 139,000 jobs in May. Hiring fell from a revised 147,000 in April, the Department of Labor said on Friday. The job gains last month were slightly higher than the 130,000 economists had forecast. The unemployment rate stayed at a low 4.2 percent. Average hourly wages rose 0.4 percent from April and 3.9 percent from a year earlier—a little higher than forecast.
