Las Vegas is called Sin City for good reason—built on indulgence, excess, and escape. But it’s not just a modern problem. In Genesis 11, humanity built Babel, trying to reach heaven without God. The issue wasn’t just a tower—it was the insecurity and rebellion driving it: “Let us make a name for ourselves.” Like bricks baked from dust, they built from brokenness, not trust.

We still do this—constructing lives without God, driven by fear, shame, and desire. Nimrod led Babel; today’s Sin Cities are led by the same spirit: pride, lust, and self-sufficiency. But God interrupted Babel, scattering the people. Not for punishment, but protection. He had a better plan—Abraham, then Jesus, and now the Church—a City on a Hill.

God calls us out of Sin City into His Kingdom. Not bricks and mortar, but living stones. From lost identity to holy purpose. From vice to vision. From collapse to calling. From Sin City to Zion.
