Detroit Tigers beat Kansas City Royals 1-0 in the series finale at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City. Keider Montero started for Detroit Tigers and went 4.2 innings scoreless before Detroit Tigers Bullpen took it the rest of the way to complete the shutout. Zach McKinstry scored the games only run after he hit a triple in the top of the 3rd and scored on a wild pitch. Detroit Tigers take the series to begin the road trip and remain in first place in the American League Central with the best record in all of the MLB. Detroit Tigers now head to Chicago to face the White Sox for a three game series.
