1) President Trump now at 53% approval. When the dust over the tariffs and illegals settle, Trump will be in the 60s.

2) Another chowderbiscuit judge, this time from some "Court of International Trade" (do we really need this?) blocked his tariffs. No big deal, say economists at Goldman Sachs. He has multiple workarounds. In fact, it "might not change the final outcome for most major US trading partners,” Goldman Sachs economists said in a research note. “For now, we expect the Trump administration will find other ways to impose tariffs,” they added. Then, almost immediately, an appeals court shot this down before the email cache could be cleared.

3) In its first of many reduction bills tied to DOGE, the White House has already sent $9.4 billion in cuts to Congress. We'll see if they act. Elon Musk said he was "disappointed" in the "Big Beautiful Bill."

NOTE: It's time for some historical reality here. First, Stephen Miller explained that DOGE cuts could not be included in the "Big Beautiful Bill" because of the classification. They had to be submitted later after the bill was passed. The first batch was already sent out. Get it. FIRST BATCH. This won't be the last, and my guess is that ultimately almost every DOGE cut will make it over to Congress. Second, the constant whine on X and other social media ("Where are the arrests?" "Why are we only deporting 1,000 illegal a day?") is getting old. Apparently no one has ever read a U.S. history book. I can suggest one. The nature of American government as established by the Founders is to make change as difficult as possible; to provide multiple checks and balances (yes, including courts, even when we don't like them); and to prevent revolutions. With the exception of FDR, Trump has moved faster, and done more in less time than any President in history---and FDR had the near-universal agreement that the Great Depression was a calamity of the first order, as well as having a 2/3 majority of Congress and the courts at his back. So far, Trump is on a pace to issue about 450 executive orders in his first year, or 30% MORE than FDR. And, as I said in my substack the other day, "Culture will codify these Executive Orders," not Congress and they won't be changed in the future because they will be a part of life. So please stop whining.

4) The FBI will probe "targeted violence" at Christians and conservatives in a Seattle rally. Of course the evil Seattle mayor says violence is all the Christians' fault. Moreover, the FBI is looking into the Dobbs leak, the pipe bomber, the White House coke, and multiple other issues. As
