SEC "Reality Distortion Field" will destroy college football | Today in Bill Belichick | UNC Heath Championship | OG390

Episode 502 Published 10 months, 3 weeks ago
Description

Joe Ovies and Joe Giglio are at the UNC Health Championship at Raleigh Country Club and have a lot to get into today -- because they've spent most of the week focused on the Carolina Hurricanes. They start things off with SEC commish Greg Sankey saying the college football world is too wrapped up in the idea of "not losing" instead of more important matters, like who got to play Georgia. Ironic considering Sankey is very much concerned with winning the battle for the heart and soul of college football. The discourse goes beyond the College Football Playoff format and has everything to do with the SEC wanting to control every aspect of the sport. Staying in the world of college sports, Pablo Torre says he's going to sue UNC if the university doesn't comply with is records requests. Giglio explains why it isn't that simple. Meanwhile, in the Lightning Round, the guys hit on the Carolina Panthers and the NBA Playoffs. The podcast closes with a few OG Sports Phone calls on the Canes.
