The Phillies gained an early advantage, but a concerning incident occurred when pitcher Spencer Strider hit Bryce Harper in his surgically repaired elbow. Some speculate that the hit may have been intentional, given the intense rivalry between both teams. Zack Wheeler will start for game two as the Phillies aim to clinch the series.
