Hey everybody! Episode 53 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with my friend Deanna Rogers. Deanna and I met in the Amazon jungle working at the plant medicine center, The Temple of the Way of Light, where she was facilitating ceremonies. Deanna has a broad range of tools from Somatic Experiencing to Gabor Mate's Compassionate Inquiry to studying psychology. She currently works helping people to integrate their plant medicine ceremonies. Deanna has a lot of experience in this field and brings a really solid, present, grounded, and balanced approach to her work. I really enjoyed sitting down with her, catching up, and having her share in her wisdom. I hope you all enjoy this episode as well. "Deanna has been working with plant medicines for the last decade and with the Temple of the Way of Light since 2013. In this time she has supported hundreds of guests through their medicine journeys and also embarked on her own deep healing with the plants through a traditional study of dieta.

Deanna holds a non-judgmental container and a deeply compassionate space to allow whatever needs to arise, to arise. Her commitment is to help people uncover and work with the root of their illness or condition so that they can live a more connected life. This is led through a process of Inquiry, somatic processing, and a balance of guiding and listening. Her work is deeply influenced by her training with Dr. Gabor Mate and his Compassion Inquiry model, Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing, and through her study with Indigenous Healers in the Amazon. She is currently embarking on her Master of Counseling.

Deanna offers preparation and integration sessions before and after plant medicine experiences to help ground and live the healing journey. Her goal is to empower people to cultivate deep connections to self, to help integrate trauma and align to their path going forward.”
