Description
Surf's up, wave riders! The Pacific's serving up some spicy conditions this weekend that'll test even the most seasoned surfers.

Malibu and LA County beaches are looking at a high-risk rip current situation with waves dancing between 3 to 5 feet - and those sneaky local sets might punch up to 6 feet. South-facing beaches are getting the most action, so pack your skills and your courage.

Water temps are hovering around a crisp 60 to 66 degrees - wetsuit weather for sure. We've got a mixed south and west swell creating some dynamic ocean energy that'll keep things interesting.

Tide swing is pretty dramatic today - we'll bottom out at negative 1 foot around 4 AM, then climb to a hefty 6.8 feet by evening. Timing your sessions will be key.

Ventura County's looking nearly identical - high rip current risk, 3 to 5 foot waves with similar swell patterns. Water's slightly warmer at 61 to 68 degrees.

Moving north, Santa Barbara's showing a more mellow scene. Today's waves are smaller at 1 to 3 feet with a low rip current risk. But Monday cranks things up with 2 to 4 foot waves and a moderate current warning.

San Luis Obispo is bringing the heat with 3 to 6 foot waves today, scaling up to 4 to 7 feet Monday. Water's chillier up there - 54 to 58 degrees.

Stay alert, respect the ocean, and may your leash be strong and your balance strong. Catch you on the waves!
