Morning Mantra: "Joy doesn’t need a reason, it just needs room."

I have committed myself to finding joy even in the smallest places. I am forever creating "to do" lists. But when I realized I had to make room for joy, I added “to feel” items on my to do list.

Joy does not simply happen to us. We have to choose joy and keep choosing it every day.  We have to find it, then make time for it.  I’ve come to realize that those who make space for joy are those that are the happiest.

So when you discover something that nourishes your soul and brings you joy, care enough about yourself to make room for it in your life.  Seek it out. Make it a priority.

There is enough in life that can be discouraging and distressing but life is meant to be enjoyed, you are meant to live in-joy.
