Welcome back! Rate, subscribe, tell us what you like or what you want to see less of…thanks again!

Today we’re talking about a common form of anxiety that many of us have heard called “OCD” or obsessive compulsive disorder.

Why are we talking about this? Why is it important? A few reasons!

  • First, OCD is a very common disorder.
    • It is estimated that about 2-3% of people in the United States have OCD.
    • This means that millions of people are affected by this disorder.
  • Second, OCD can be very difficult to live with.
    • People with OCD may experience significant anxiety, depression, and social isolation.
      • They may also have difficulty maintaining relationships and completing their daily tasks.
  • Third, there is a lot of stigma associated with OCD.
    • People with OCD may be afraid to seek help because they are afraid of being judged or misunderstood.
    • This can make it difficult for people with OCD to get the treatment they need.
  • Finally, there is a lack of awareness about OCD.
    • Many people do not know what OCD is or how it can affect a person's life.
      • This can make it difficult for people with OCD to get the support they need from their friends, family, and community.
So let’s help with some of that today, shall we?!

We need to talk more about OCD so that we can raise awareness and reduce the stigma associated with it.

  • We also need to make sure that people with OCD have access to the treatment they need (i.e.- Cannabis?!).
  • By simply talking more about OCD and having this discussion, we can help to improve the lives of millions of people.
