Trace evidence left behind at murder scenes, complex chemistry used by drug gangs to disguise illegal drugs, and even investigations of poison pen letters are the stock and trade of a group of Ireland’s finest scientists at the new high-tech Forensic Science Ireland laboratories outside Dublin.
This week, Nicola paid a visit to where all the magic happens in preparation for a free FSI event to be held next week at the National Convention Centre when members of the public can step inside the world of forensic investigators.
