The Tampa Bay Rays pick up a huge series win, beating the Astros 8-4. The Astros jumped on the Rays early again. Two batters into the game it was 2-0 Houston. Then the Rays would respond in a big way. The Rays would match the Astros with two runs in the bottom of the first highlighted by a Chandler Simpson RBI single. Then Curtis Mead, Josh Lowe, and Brandon Lowe all hit solo home runs to put the Rays up 5-2. The Astros would make it close in the 8th hitting two home runs to cut the lead to 5-4. But Yandy Diaz would respond in the bottom of the inning. He would hit a monster 3 run home run to give the Rays the breathing room needed. Taj Bradley was fantastic after the first inning. He ended up going 6 IP striking out 7 picking up the win. The Rays will continue their home stand Friday against the Blue Jays. Wonderful
