Melvin Cordell and his wife, Valerie Cordell, face a number of felony charges in New Mexico related to allegations that they sexually and physically abused their seven children for years. New Mexico State Police say the Cordells forced their children to live in caves and outdoors. The children range in age from six months to 16. The 35-acre property where they lived was full of trash and rotten food.
