El: Η θάλασσα απλωνόταν μπροστά της, λικνιζόταν χαϊδευτικά στην ακτή του μικρού χωριού.
En: The sea stretched out before her, gently swaying against the shore of the small village.
El: Άνοιξη είχε έρθει στο χωριό με τα λαμπερά άνθη να ανθίζουν παντού.
En: Spring had arrived in the village, with bright flowers blooming everywhere.
El: Ήταν Μεγάλη Εβδομάδα και οι προετοιμασίες για το Πάσχα βρίσκονταν στο αποκορύφωμά τους.
En: It was Holy Week and preparations for Easter were at their peak.

El: «Έλενα,» της είπε μαλακά, «πώς νιώθεις;» «Θέλω να χορέψω, Νίκο,» του απάντησε με ειλικρινή θλίψη, «αλλά το πόδι μου...
En: “Elena,” he said softly, “how do you feel?” “I want to dance, Nikos,” she replied with genuine sadness, “but my foot… I don’t want to miss it.” Nikos thought for a moment.
El: Δεν θέλω να λείψω.» Ο Νίκος σκέφτηκε για λίγο.
En: An idea began to form in his mind.
El: Μια ιδέα άρχισε να σχηματίζεται στο μυαλό του.
En: “What would you say if I helped you dance without straining your foot?
El: «Τί θα έλεγες να σε βοηθήσω να χορέψεις χωρίς να καταπονείς το πόδι; Μπορούμε να βρούμε έναν τρόπο μαζί.» Με τις λέξεις του, μια αχτίδα ελπίδας αντικατέστησε την λύπη στο πρόσωπό της.
