Wanda Barzee, 79, one of the kidnappers of Elizabeth Smart in 2002, was arrested May 1, 2025, in Salt Lake City for violating her sex offender restrictions, police said. Barzee, a registered sex offender, allegedly visited Liberty Park and Sugar House Park, areas she is barred from under Utah law, which prohibits sex offenders from entering public parks.
