Description
Welcome to Elected Women Across America, a podcast featuring elected women with common goals to exchange legislative ideas and reach across the aisle. Hosted by the National Foundation for Women Legislators, this podcast provides a direct line to the leaders that the organization empowers.
In honor of Women's History Month, New Hampshire's State Archivist Ashley Miller brings us the story of a trailblazer from New Hampshire, Marilla Ricker, a suffragette and lawyer who ran for elected office even before women gained the right to vote. We'll then hear from an elected woman from the State of New Hampshire, Donna Soucy, Minority Leader of the New Hampshire State Senate.
We'll bring you new stories in the new year from elected women each episode with host Brenna Kehew Sculley. Are you interested in sharing your story with us here at NFWL? Sign up today to record your podcast, share your passion and get engaged in 2024 at podcast@womenlegislators.org.
