Welcome to Elected Women Across America, a podcast featuring elected women with common goals to exchange legislative ideas and reach across the aisle. Hosted by the National Foundation for Women Legislators, this podcast provides a direct line to the leaders that the organization empowers. 

This episode features NFWL’s Chair, Illinois Deputy Minority Leader Sue Rezin. Senator Rezin discusses the importance of representing women at the state and local levels, emphasizing the value of professional development and community that the NFWL provides. Like all of NFWL’s members, Senator Rezin’s path to leadership was a unique one. She shares her journey to the Illinois Senate and the passion she has for issues such as childcare, mental health, and women in the workforce. 

NFWL is hosting a healthcare summit August 1st-2nd in Chicago, Illinois. We'll be learning about maternal mental health, rare diseases, caregiving, and more;  taking time to learn from one another, network, and engage in professional development.
