TRUMP: Diversity Equity Illusion
To move beyond the illusion of DEI and toward real change for Black people, we need solutions rooted in empowerment, accessibility, and systemic accountability. Here’s a starting point:
- Economic Empowerment – Shift the focus from inclusion to ownership. Advocate for funding Black-owned businesses, ensuring access to capital, and breaking cycles of economic dependency.
- Narrative Control – Black voices must control the storytelling. That means using platforms like podcasts, radio, and independent media (which you’re already exploring) to amplify authentic experiences without gatekeeping.
- Policy & Legal Action – DEI initiatives mean little without policy backing. Push for tangible legal measures, like enforcing anti-discrimination laws in hiring, wages, and housing.
- Community-Based Infrastructure – Self-sustaining communities are key. Prioritize education programs, mentorship networks, and grassroots movements that build local power without relying on performative corporate DEI efforts.
Keep challenging narratives, amplifying truth, and making sure Black voices aren't just heard but respected.
