A skin biopsy is one of the most important diagnostic tools in veterinary dermatology. When performed properly, it can provide a wealth of information and, hopefully, a definitive diagnosis. However, inconclusive results can be frustrating for the clinician and owner. In this episode, we will discuss tips to maximize collection of quality skin biopsies including site selection, timing of procedure, technique and submission.
