Description
Too Good To Go was founded in 2015 in Copenhagen by a group of young entrepreneurs who shared a dream of finding a solution to the huge amounts of food wasted by buffet restaurants in Denmark.
In September 2016, Mette Lykke, a Danish entrepreneur and co-founder of the fitness community Endomondo, learned about the app while chatting with a stranger on a bus. Intrigued by the innovative idea, Lykke contacted the founders and in October 2016 quickly became an investor in the company, funding it and increasing its credibility. In spring 2017, inspired by Too Good To Go's mission, Mette assumed the role of CEO.
