On today’s episode of the podcast we speak to Dougie Zinis.
Dougie is known for being one of the more reserved Spiners but we manage to dig deep into his running history and his prep for this years race.
We talk about his pre-running life being overweight and suffering a stroke in his mid twenties.
Despite this he took up running and soon found he had the endurance to go long!
Since 2018 he’s won the Spine Challenger South, took 2nd at the full Spine in 2022 and took the double Bob Graham round record!
He’s focused and determined so it will be fun to see how he fairs in Britain’s most brutal race in just a few short weeks!
