You can do more than the step around

You can do more than the step around

Episode 60 Published 10 months, 2 weeks ago
Description

We often find inspiration when we are away from our desks and this week’s episode is no exception.  I’ve taken up a new hobby to help with my confidence and, in the words of Julie Andrews, “start at the very beginning, it’s a very good place to start”.  And it was during a practice session that my teacher said something that stopped me in my tracks.

We all have belief patterns that keep us safe and tell us we are only capable of so much.  But this really isn’t true.  Sometimes we need someone to hold up a mirror to what we can achieve.  Join me as I explore what might be going on from a psychodynamic perspective, and Matteo and Stan might pop up to help us too.

Here are the highlights for this episode:

(1.06) Learning new things

(2.02) The step around

(5.40) Defence mechanisms coming out to play

(6.12) Validation and permission
