Okay, so this one has everything: trans joy, vision boards, awkward laughter, photo shoot magic, an enthusiastic reality TV debate (Love Is Blind, I <3 you), and a new twist on the concept of North Stars that I didn’t even know I needed. Rachael and I dove into all things Empowerment Experience -- Round Two and the gorgeous, human messiness that comes with creating something like this... and participating in it.
Also: I make the case for vision boards (and yes, even if you’re allergic to crafting, I just might convince you), we gush over mixed CDs, I reveal my secret DJ dreams, and we celebrate the incredible range of identities and gender diversity in this cohort of the program.
The Empowerment Experience isn’t just six months of selfies and photoshoots -- it’s this alive, evolving, co-created thing that lights me all the way up.
