When Jackie Carpenter was in her mid-40s she spent a week at Space Camp in the US and it changed her life. Inspired by the inclusivity and inspiration she found there Jackie came home to the school where she taught as a primary teacher dressed in her astronaut suit and armed with a passion to help change children’s lives. Nearly two decades later she has transformed countless lives through her work and has founded One Giant Leap Australia - a foundation designed to make the impossible possible.
