Gall was Sitting Bull's most trusted lieutenant and war chief for the Hunkpapa Lakota. He was a leader of his own people at the end, surrendering to the US Gov't before his people starved in Canada before Sitting Bull came in. He was also a kick ass war chief not to be fucked with.
