One Of The Icons Of Our Sport - George Hincapie
The phrase "can't see me, can't be me" is so important in sport. Without icons & role models, the next generation stagnates or never emerges.
For me as a kid, romantic images from George Hincapie leading Lance Armstrong up mountain passes in the Tour de France were burnt into my brain. That's when I fell in love with the sport.
Without George Hincapie there would be no Roadman Cycling podcast. It is my honour to welcome one of the icons of our sport to the show.
