Why is "The Ras" So Special?
An Rás Tailteann started in Dublin yesterday. This is Ireland's version of the Tour de France. It pits the best Irish riders against Pro's from around the world. But this isn't like any other bike race, it's steeped in history & folklore. Anyone who has been lucky enough to ride "The Rás" earns the coveted tag "Man of The Rás".
In today's episode I explain why this race has gained such a prestigious place in the hearts and minds of cycling fans around the world and I also talk about my experience riding the big one on eight occasions.
