I was under the impression that a Digital Content Festival, one that I had spoken at two years running, was just an hour speech. Then, I heard it was 3.5 hours. After that, 2 hours or 1.5 hours with zero confirmation. 

I finally said, "enough." And I canceled my speaking engagement due to the sheer ignorance of who I was dealing with, let alone what was said about 2-3 weeks ago. 

Honestly, my friend was super mad about it, but I'm not going to bow down and sell myself short for a couple of dollars, let alone get the run around in regards to the timeframe of the talk.
