Shannon Kenitz journey started when her daughter Grace was diagnosed with a rare mitochondrial disorder and was given 2 years to live. 20 years later Grace is a thriving 22 year old, she goes to University of Wisconsin, takes music classes and lives a happy life. The only thing that Grace did differently, was getting daily hyperbaric oxygen treatments in her portable hyperbaric chamber.

Shannon has dedicated her life to make hyperbaric oxygen therapy available and accessible. She is an executive director of International Hyperbaric Association (IHA). IHA is a charitable and educational organization that serves hyperbaric community. IHA currently runs several initiatives, from HBOT providers support, conferences, educational seminars and help in clinic set up, to educating public on the benefits of HBOT, hyperbaric chambers safety and funding hyperbaric treatments for families in need.
