D.A. Race: Challenger Pat Dugan Says Philly Doesn’t Feel Safe

Published 1 year, 2 months ago
Description

For our Wednesday politics episode, former Judge Pat Dugan visits City Cast Philly to make his case for why District Attorney Larry Krasner, a two-term incumbent, doesn’t deserve to be reelected. Dugan notes that despite a recent drop in the murder rate, the number of homicides in the city is far too high and is directly attributable to Krasner’s policies. Dugan also says that while Krasner is held up as a “progressive prosecutor,” certain city diversion programs – which provide resources instead of jail time for some low-level offenders – have floundered under Krasner. And he blasts Krasner’s approach to retail theft. Krasner was on City Cast Philly last Wednesday, April 30, so check out that episode. The Democratic primary election for district attorney is May 20.
