Even though the Super Bowl was less than a month ago, football is still in the headlines from the NFL Draft Combine to Derek Carr talks picking. The long time Raiders quarterback will not be returning to Las Vegas and will be going to the New Orleans Saints for 37.5 million a year. This will have large implications on a hot quarterback market for guys like Daniel Jones and Lamar Jackson. Surprisingly enough, recent news make it seem that Aaron Rodgers will be back with the Packers as well.

The beauty of the offseason is all the questions which are not yet answered. Some of these are will Joe Mixon be back with the Bengals? As of right now this seems very unlikely. How will Desmond Ridder transcend in year two with Calvin Ridley back in the mix? The question marks around Calvin Ridley have been raising his draft stock, which is a little bit of an unusual reaction. Where will Miles Sanders end up? This question won’t be answered soon even though it seems like he will be back. However, the market needs to be first set by guys like Joe Mixon and Derrick Henry before Sanders can get a true grasp on how the market views him. Leonard Fournette is another guy who has to wait and see how the market perceives him.

Rookie receivers will be exciting this year as guys like Chris Olave had a good year last year. Jordan Addison, Zay Flowers, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba are big rookie names that should contribute right away. Addison had somewhat of a rough combine but looks to be one of the more NFL ready guys out of the receiver room in this draft. The quarterbacks in this draft could be interesting, perhaps not for best ball but for the future they can make some significant impact, especially a guy like Anthony Richardson.
