    Monica Szymonik is a Certified Health Coach, ADA Advocate and has a background in digestive wellness, massage therapy and personal training. After being sued for sole custody of her son in 2010 and being forced into the infamous “every other weekend” parenting schedule, Monica’s been coaching moms and dads as they navigate through the treacherous waters of the Family Law racket.
     She authored the book, “Broken System, Broken Heart” to help parents launch into self-care after a scarring custody battle. She believes that writing a book made her a much better Family Court warrior as she climbed the rungs of the legal system as a pro se parent.
     Aside from workshops, which help solve a specific problem, her 12-week signature course, The Best Interest of the Parent uses a 4-quadrant model to create a robust healing and empowerment system so that parents can use the best version of themselves to make it through the toughest journey they will ever take.
     Monica also discussed the 3 levels of trauma and how they all tie into the Natural Causes, Man-Made Causes  and a parent trying to get help only to find themselves in a situation much worse than when they began.
    Discussing Karin Huffer's work and her books found on Amazon, "Unlocking Justice: The American's with Disabilities Act and its Amendments Act Protecting Persons with Disabilities in Court" and "Legal Abuse Syndrome: A Preventable Health Problem," was a major influence in Monica's work as well.
