     Slam the Gavel welcomes Laura Thomason, a grandmother of two children in the Foster Care System.  Laura is an Advocate  and Counselor for at risk youth and wants to see Foster Care reform.
    Laura would also like to see the Family Forward Act Implemented and accountability. She is also questioning what happened to the 974 children that have "gone missing" in the Missouri Foster Care System in 2019. There are no answers.
   Only seeing her grandchildren twice since March of 2020, Laura explained how they got into the situation of Foster Care and the abuse that has taken place. No parent or grandparent is immune to these profiteering systems, such as CPS, that remove children from fit and loving parents as well as extended family members and place them in Foster Care.
    Laura is concerned for the welfare of those placed in Foster Care as they are put on psychotropic medications and then shuffled through the system.
