     Slam the Gavel welcomes County Attorney Matthew Mills to the show. Matthew was born in Dallas and grew up on the DFW area. He obtained a bachelor's degree at the University of Pittsburgh, a master's degree at Baylor, another master's degree at TCU, and a law degree from Texas A&M Law School.
      He and his wife Dina have three children, and they live in Granbury, Texas. After working in private law practice for about nine years, Matt became Hood County Attorney on January 1, 2017. He's currently in his second term as County Attorney after winning reelection in 2020. His office office prosecutes misdemeanors, handles protective orders and mental commitments, and advises the commissioners court, among other duties.
     Interesting discussion regarding mask mandates and how the the lockdowns destroyed the small business owners and the economy.
